This weekend is the 51st Boulder Mountain Tour. The Boulder lands on the first Saturday in February and is one of the largest ski races in the country, bringing in athletes of all levels from the World Cup to your enthusiast skiers. Located on the historic Harriman trail in the Sawtooth National Forest, the race covers 34 Kilometers.
Among the strong field of athletes is our very own EnjoyWinter factory team athlete Annika Landis as well as the defending champion of the BMT, Hannah Rudd, also sponsored by Enjoywinter. Annika is coming off of overall wins the last two weekends at the Ski De She in Cable, WI, and the Craftsbury Marathons in Northern Vermont. Here are some thoughts from Annika and Hannah about what makes the event truly special.
From Annika :
I am so excited to race the BMT again this year. WE have a really strong women's field this year which is amazing and makes the race more exciting. Win or lose, I am always blown away by the energy that the BMT excites in the community and racing at home is always so meaningful to me. It reminds me where I came from and immerses me fully in the environment that make me love skiing in the first place. That is more priceless to me than any win or podium.
From Hannah:
I am so excited to be back in Sun Valley for the BMT! The community energy, beautiful course, and great competition make this race truly unique. Excited to push myself hard tomorrow and see what I can do!
