Hello, Hannah and Reid here from the BSF Pro Team!! We just arrived in Duluth, MN where the first Super Tour races are being held this weekend. As many of you know, we’re both from the Midwest (Hannah from Plymouth, MN and Reid from Petoskey, MI), so being able to kick off our race season in the Central region is really exciting.

The race schedule for this first weekend will be a skate sprint on Saturday and a skate 5km/10km on Sunday. We weren't able to do any heats last year due to Covid, so we’re both looking forward to the sprint. After Duluth our team will be heading to Cable, WI for the second set of Super Tours. The first race on Friday the 10th will be a 15km mass start, followed by a classic sprint on Saturday, and a 10km classic individual start on Sunday.

Thoughts from Hannah:

Having gone to college in Alaska, and then moving down to Bozeman shortly after, I haven’t had too many opportunities to race in the Midwest since I was in high school. Having the season start out with two weekends of racing in the Midwest, it could not be more exciting for me. Growing up in Plymouth, MN, I know how strong the Midwest ski community is, so it will be fun to be reunited with so many people and have the trails filled with familiar faces. My training this fall and early winter has been going well, so I’m looking forward to putting on a race bib and seeing what I can do!

Thoughts from Reid:

I moved out to Bozeman this summer and haven’t really been back to the midwest since then. It is definitely really exciting to be able to kick off my professional career back here, since I spent the last four years racing in the midwest as a part of Michigan Tech’s ski team. There hasn’t been any early season supertours in the midwest recently so it will be a lot of fun for the region and all the athletes that get to travel here and experience these new venues. Personally, I am stoked to race at these venues that I have raced throughout college and race against many of the same collegiate athletes as well as many more!
