About Team Summit Colorado: Team Summit Colorado is based in stunning Summit County, Colorado. We are a youth development organization empowering our athletes to realize and celebrate their personal podiums. We provide exceptional coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and a supportive community to foster the growth of our athletes. Position Overview: Team Summit Colorado is seeking a dynamic and visionary Nordic Director to lead our Nordic Program. The Nordic Director will be responsible for shaping the future of Nordic skiing in Summit County and developing athletes who excel both athletically and personally. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young athletes and to continue the rich tradition of Nordic skiing in our community. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Program Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Nordic Program, aligning it with the organization's mission and values. 

Athlete Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that cater to the needs of athletes across different age groups and skill levels. Coaching: Lead and manage a team of experienced coaches, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth mindset. 

Facility Management: Work with our three Nordic Center partners to develop a training and competition plan. Competition Strategy: Develop a competition strategy that enables athletes to excel at regional, national, and international levels.

Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with athletes, parents, volunteers, and the Summit County community to create a supportive and inclusive Nordic skiing environment. 

Safety: Prioritize athlete safety by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and best practices. 

Qualifications: Strong understanding of Nordic skiing, including coaching and training methodologies. Proven track record in coaching and athlete development. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Knowledge of Summit County's Nordic skiing community is a plus. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. 

Ability to attain US Ski and Snowboard Nordic certification or equivalent. Compensation: Salaried Full-Time Year-Round $50,000-65,000 per year 401k w/match Accident Policy Eligible for Team Summit sponsored health insurance Paid vacation Paid membership for US Ski and Snowboad
