"It Still Feels A Little Surreal" By Sophie Caldwell-Hamilton

Our travel day(s) to Ruka was long, but relatively straightforward. We were lucky to have flights that weren't overly full, and we were very careful about masking up and washing our hands. It was nice to arrive in Ruka and get a taste of winter again! It still feels a little surreal to be racing on the World Cup right now, but it also provides a nice sense of normalcy.

Races have been pretty disappointing so far, but I'm trying to remember that I have spent five days on snow before these races and we usually have a couple on snow camps and a long on snow prep period. Patience is key and I'm trying to trust the process and believe that each day on snow will make me a better skier! We are heading to Davos next, and I'm looking forward to a couple weeks of sunshine!-Sophie C-H
