"I Came Away From Ruka With Positive Feelings" By Taylor Fletcher
While the results may not speak for my performance, it is still to say that I came away from Ruka with positive feelings and looking forward to the next competition.
Personally and I think many other athletes would agree, but Ruka is one of the hardest stops on the calendar and making it first gives every one that little bit more of a challenge.
It took me a few jumps to get my feeling back and to figure out the hill. That hurt me and made it hard to race for points every day. Luck is an important aspect on the ski jump and it wasn’t really on my side but that is life. One of my season goals is to win the Red Bib, for Best xc skier. So far I am sitting I think sixth overall on that with many races to go!
We are now in Austria training for the next couple weeks until we resume competition on December 20th!
