How to watch World Cup Ski Jumping this season
What is up Ski Post!
Always feel like I have to reintroduce myself once in a while! I am the lone Nordic ski jumper within the Enjoy Winter world I always love trying to keep up with all the true nordies that I surround myself with. I’ll also be making sure I stay more relevant on Ski Post so you all remember how cool it is to fly on two skis!
Although for this Ski Post, all I am doing is trying to point you all in the direction of watching your favorite sports! Obviously I hope you all want to tune into ski jumping every weekend, as we are the coolest, but to each their own!
The ski jumping World Cup season kicks off Friday, November 22nd, in Lillehammer, Norway. I will also be competing!
Nordic Combined and Cross-Country kick off a week later on Friday, November 29th, in Ruka, Finland. So if you don’t feel like burning off turkey you can watch others do it for you.
If you are curious about any of the other U.S. Ski or Snowboard sports you can follow this link (https://www.usskiandsnowboard.org/how-watch) and get even more info including channels!
I can not emphasize enough how good of a year all Nordic sports are forecasted to have. With Milan-Cortina 2026 coming up very quick next season the pressure is definitely on everyone to make sure that this season sets them up for success.
On the ski jumping side, we have a super young team that is poised to score more World Cup points than an American team ever has. We have been continuing to improve year on top of year since the last Olympic Games. This summer we had two separate athletes get podiums on the Summer Grand Prix circuit which spells great things for the winter season to come. Sadly, I was not one of those guys. I had shoulder surgery in June after constant dislocations. However, that story is for future ski posts so stay tuned!
