Two Tips for a Healthy Life
Greetings from Norway where cross-country skiing is the national sport and they say kids are born with skis on their feet: “født med ski på beina.” Seeing young kids cheering for their favorite skiers at the World Championships in Trondheim this past weekend and Norwegian families skiing long distances on the trails, that saying is not far from the truth.
Go USA! Go Norway!
Lumi guests with Julia Kern at Holmenkollen
Did you know that no trail passes are required to ski the cross-country trails that are groomed, maintained and open to everyone throughout Norway? Lumi guest Jeff Wilhelm learned this from the trip leaders the other morning and had to clarify “I just want to make sure I'm getting this right: it's your right as a free citizen of Norway to ski?” Indeed, it’s your right to glide!
Men's 50k at World Champs
In the midst of Lumi’s peak trip season, with the Trondheim World Championships wrapped up and the Norway-Birken trip kicking off this week, I’m excited to share some photo highlights from Lumi’s March trips to Norway, Slovenia and Seefeld & Engadin.

The 2026 Norway-Birken, Slovenia Sight Ski and Seefeld & Engadin trips are already starting to fill. Would you like to experience the unique cross-country ski cultures on these trips next winter? There are two weeks left to register for any 2026 Lumi trip by Monday, March 31 and receive the $300 / person early booking discount. I’m happy to share an itinerary and help answer any questions about the trip experience.
See you on the trail,
