The ASC Training Center is a non-profit organization located on Donner Summit. ASCTC provides a variety of programs for Alpine, Snowboard, Nordic and Biathlon; clinics; competitions and social events. ASCTC also operates a 25km Nordic Center open to the public.
Position: Head Nordic Competition Team Coach

Reports to: Nordic Program Director, Executive Director
Employment period: 11 Month (Full-Time, Year-Round)
Compensation: $20-$25/hr paid bi-weekly
Paid and unpaid time off periods scheduled during Spring/Fall program transition periods

Function:
Coach Competition and Development Teams in all aspects of Nordic training and competition.
Assist Program Director with outreach programs to grow membership such as CNISSF (Varsity and ACMS programs)
Coach Master’s Clinic program
Assisting with Training Center operations
Responsibilities:
1. Effectively organize, communicate, and coach programming to athletes and their parents for the Competition and Development Teams
2. Assist program director with communications, organizing, recruiting, and conducting training sessions.
3. Coach outreach programs to grow membership such as CNISSF Varsity, Masters Program, and Alder Creek Middle School Program as time allows.
4. As a key member of the Training Center staff, perform other tasks including, but not limited to, daily operations, xc lessons and rentals, public relations, fundraisers, administration, recruitment efforts, supporting training center events, winter and summer maintenance, facility improvements, general operations and special projects.
Qualifications:
General knowledge in
Proven customer service skills working with all ages of athletes and families.
Ability to work as part of a team and be productive when unsupervised
Ability to work safely in all snow surface conditions and terrain in harsh winter weather for prolonged periods of time. Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50lbs.
Proven organizational, communication and writing skills
Computer competency – word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet
Completion of background screening and Safesport
