"Especially With Beijing on the Horizon"
Hey SkiPost!
After a tough March on the jumping hill, I had a great reset throughout April. I definitely did not stop thinking about ski jumping but we always try during the off-season. I took a trip to Moab and got out on the bike, and even got some turns on Mt. Tukuhnikivatz in the La Salle's. But when May rolls around you kind of know that the clock starts ticking again. Especially with Beijing on the horizon, this is definitely not the season to miss any pieces of training.
I ended up flying to Europe at the end of May and just recently returned for our initial jumping camp of the year. It is always a weird feeling going from jumping the biggest ski jump in the world for the World Cup finale and then starting a month and a half later on hills where you are walking up next to a 10-year-old. It definitely keeps the ego in check!
